A PORTRAIT OF POLITICS, Palau Robert

‘A Portrait of Politics. Social and Political News in Cartoons’ looked at the social function of humorous drawings, illustrated by means of 200 cartoons published in 60 media outlets and other publications and thus presenting a contextualised overview of Spain’s recent history through cartoons. The design of the installation took the form of taut panels of paper rising up to the ceiling, as well as rollers that generated turning points, giving rise to a zigzag effect inspired by newspaper printing presses. A colour and typographic code differentiated the various themed ambits of the exhibition.
