The exhibition Alehop! took an unusual look at the world of design and showcased a series of everyday objects, many of which were anonimous and unpretentious. With the sonority of its title, Alehop! signified transformation, immediacy and a certain magic, and it presented a universe of highly ingenious designs that help to make our lives easier. As a result, it offered another possible reading of what is meant by ‘good design’ and dispelled many preconceived ideas. Regardless of whether it was considering designs, devices or solutions, Alehop! portrayed the human wealth of the people who use, reuse, subvert or design the objects around us.
